We had a great time in Gosport in July, hosted by the fantastic FirstLight Trust for Veterans - Gosport cafe hub. We were up to our eyeballs in fresh cakes, tea and coffee while we got stuck into the the important questions.

The focus group was attended by about 14 women, tri-service and service providers alike. We were able to share a bit of information about the programme before inviting the participants to work through theme-based activities on what changes they would like to see in service provision for female veterans to help get the conversation flowing. Feedback on what ‘must’ happen, what ‘should’ happen, and what best practice they have already seen was invaluable for insights into what the community actually want to see!

With out Statement of Need on the wall, and a list of topics that were important, such as housing, finance and imagery, conversation was flowing.
