After a great day at the Centre for Military Women’s Research Colloquium, we stayed on and hosted a focus group at Anglia Ruskin University. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea which re-energised us all at the start and were delighted to be joined by an enthusiastic group.

We had female veterans, representatives from the NHS, government and the military charity sector. We got stuck into thinking about branding, imagery and language by visualising how to communicate services to the female veteran community and considering some examples from the public domain. We had a really lively conversation about themes drawn from the research but selected by participants including housing and family life, mental health and the criminal justice system.
